AMDI is headquartered in Santa Ana, CA where it manufactures the Fast PCR Mini Respiratory Panel in an ISO:13485 / MDSAP certified 110,000 square foot facility.

Our lead product, the Fast PCR System, delivers molecular respiratory results (Flu A, Flu B, RSV, and COVID) in under 10 minutes, purpose-built for urgent care and office labs. The product pipeline includes assays for STIs and Strep A, designed specifically for CLIA-waived environments, underscoring AMDI’s mission to deliver accurate results at the time of care.

Compensation: $150,000 - $250,000 base

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Execution
    • Execute the sales execution for AMDI Fast PCR System launch and through that initial launch experience and develop strategies to prioritize wins within urgent care systems and drive adoption among primary care physicians.
    • Using Salesforce to build scalable sales processes and implement tools for efficient lead generation, conversion, and customer retention.
    • Establish, monitor, and exceed sales targets for the Sales team, while personally owning and driving quota attainment in the Southern California region to accelerate adoption near company corporate headquarters.
  • Team Building & Leadership
    • Recruit, train, and establish a high-caliber sales team.
    • Instill a culture of customer focus, accountability, professionalism, and performance excellence.
  • Customer Engagement
    • Establish both individually and regionally through the Sales Team strong strategic relationships with customers in the Urgent Care and Primary care markets.
    • Ensure high standards of professionalism and integrity in all interactions and communications with Customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Marketing on executing sales strategy and provide timely feedback for pivots needed to the plan.
    • Provide market intelligence and feedback from customers to inform product enhancements and strategic direction.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Establish both individually and regionally through the Sales Team strong strategic relationships with customers in the Urgent Care and Primary care markets
    • Ensure high standards of professionalism and integrity in all interactions and communications with Customers
  • Customer Engagement
    • Implement Salesforce CRM and reporting systems to provide visibility into pipeline, forecasting, and sales performance.
    • As the team is built, provide frequent review and feedback to sales team members on their sales performance versus plan.
    • Recommend changes to pricing models, sales incentive plans, and channel strategies in collaboration with executive leadership.

Qualifications Required for Position
  • Minimum of a high school diploma. A bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience leading and growing a sales team to launch a new product into a medically regulated market
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales leadership experience.
  • Experience launching products in U.S. markets.
  • Experience in molecular biology, clinical diagnostics, or life sciences market a plus
  • Proven experience in urgent care and CLIA-waived market entry a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, geographically dispersed sales teams.
  • Skilled in fostering collaboration and building productive team relationships
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to sales development.
  • Clear, articulate communicator—verbally and in writing—with professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to support sales in the US and could involve international travel
  • Ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and prepare clear and concise communication to Marketing and AMDI Leadership on solutions. 
  • Ability to overcome challenges and find solutions to complex situations.

Work Environment
  • In-person position that requires working indoors at a computer station. 
  • Based in Santa Ana office.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international.
